Humans of Active Minds

Inspired by Humans of New York, Active Minds at Yeshiva University began an initiative called Humans of Active Minds.

As part of the HOAM initiative, Yeshiva University students share their struggles and triumphs with mental health.

Our goal is to show that mental illness is more common than people think and nothing to be ashamed of.

If you are interested, please fill out our form. Of course, your interview will be posted to our social media pages completely confidentially if you would like.

"I've had anxiety my whole life and in high school, I found out that I have depression. A few years ago, I was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder, which accounts for the depression. Anxiety just kind of happened. I was always a terribly anxious kid. When my parents divorced, it got significantly worse and there was a very, very messy lawsuit. I was also in a terrible car crash twice, which contributed to the "complex" piece of PTSD."
