Hi! My name is Aaron Purow and I’m a psychology major at Yeshiva College with aspirations of becoming a psychiatrist. I’ve always been an advocate for mental health awareness after facing some mental health challenges myself granting me the opportunity to help others live with compassion. If you don’t see me studying or working on Active Minds, you’ll likely see me running/training as a member of the YU Cross Country  team.

Hi! My name is Rivky Terebelo and I'm a senior at Sy Syms School of Business, majoring in finance with a minor in management. Aside from Active Minds, I'm layout editor of the Observer and the Ambassador Coordinator for an organization called Project Proactive. I'm looking forward to being President of Active Minds this year. I got involved in Active Minds because mental health is something that everyone has and everyone can improve. I believe that with our amazing team, we can really make a difference on campus this year.

Hi my name is Benji Morris, I’m a senior in Yeshiva College majoring in Math and Biology. I am so excited to be apart of active minds this year and can’t wait to make a huge change on campus. Apart from active minds I have worked at the seforim sale for the past 3 years and have been working in camp HASC for the last 5 summers. I’m really excited to learn more about mental health and help others learn about it too.

Hello!! My name is Sarina Hilowitz. I’m a Junior at Stern, majoring in psychology and minoring in education. In addition to Active Minds, I’m passionate about writing, public speaking, theatre, Israel and a few more things which you’ll be privileged to know once we meet! Active Minds is a club that embodies what it means to be a devoted Jew. To me, this club is so special because it allows me to live a life of understanding and loving my fellow Jews. I feel privileged to be the President of Active Minds, where students are able to help create a more compassionate culture for one another around mental health in YU. I look forward to a powerful year together.
